The Botanic Gardens Plant Shop

The Plant Shop is open from 9-4 Wednesday to Sunday, public holidays and every day of NSW school holidays and is adjacent to the Gardens Cafe. The shop offers a great range of local plants for all situations.

The plants we sell are produced with the help of our Gardens volunteers. They are propagated from seeds and cuttings sourced from collecting trips throughout our region and from within the botanic gardens own collection, then grown and hardened off right here at the Gardens.

Our plant sales list contains over 200 species, many of which are available all year round. Because we are propagating for a botanical collection sometimes we have a surplus of some very unusual plants and it is always worth popping in to see what is available. We are also licensed to grow and sell some of our regions threatened species.

Our plants end up in many different places, in domestic gardens, farms, public spaces and even large scale landscape rehabilitation projects throughout our region and we are proud to be able to play a role in caring for our environment.

Annual Giant Plant Sale & Easter Fair

Our annual Giant Plant Sale & Easter Fair held on Easter Saturday is a very popular event not to be missed. Not only can you pick up some amazing plant bargains but you can also get some great gardening advice and landscape tips from some of our experts.

All proceeds from plant sales go back into developing and maintaining our Botanic Garden. So when you buy a plant from us you not only support the Gardens you also help to conserve our regional flora and fauna. Everybody wins!
